the testing takes about 2 - 3 hours, it would be 4 hours of driving.

And i like Goulburn, its a lovely place to stay

Good stuff mate, religion has never been my thing, but each to their own. Metal fab is something i would love to get into. Once i have finished my probationary year i might approach the tafe to see if Bathurst tafe offers night classes and stuff.

Well after 3 days of ringing the recruitment section of corrective services i finally got to speak to somebody.

I have my name down for a testing day on sunday 31st Jan. It starts at 8:30am and goes till approx 4pm, so going to be a long day.

The gut i spoke to said there are a few people but most wanna go on saturday, so i took the option with less people

Well what a day it was.

Some long tests. Started off with 10 minutes to do 10 maths questions, then some reading and comprehension. Then we did a few reports and then read 2 reports and took bullet points out of a couple.
The it was an essay, which we had 30 minutes to do.

Then we a couple of short physic questionnaires 2x 30 minutes each.

Then we had a 3 1/2 hour 650+ question physic evaluation. (3 1/2 hours was max time allowed) apparently its the same test that the fire brigade, ambulance and police do.

After doing all the tests i now wait for a phone to call to organise an interview, it may take up to 3 weeks to find something out. But could be as early as this week.

yeah there are alot of different areas. i have to do prac for uni soon, was thinking of doing it with docs but have decided on probation parole. my end goal or dream job is through care but will have to work towards that, they dont hire people fresh out of uni no matter how many degrees i have.
