Hope the weather fines up as i need to test fire and sight in the new ammo as i might be going to Walgett this weekend for a pig shoot if the guy can organize it....... should be fun we, will have to get a run organized to the place you know soon ace and get you burning some powder, if ya can do a weekend some time down the track Chris said he would be intrested to meet up over there too if it was all good with you.......

Yeah, I'm happy with that, tied up for the next month or so, but should be able to organise something mid to late November, will have to see how the finances hold up.

yep ok i will be going up inverell mid November for a pig / goat hunt but after that should be good.... but next week would be better... Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Ok fired my reloads today with some interesting resolts.Over 100m the first lot fired were 43gr of 2209 with 87gr v-max pills..and grouped good straight off the bat, better than it ever did with factory ammo.....the next lot of 3 were 43.5gr of 2209 with 87gr v-max pills no difference the grouping was the same the POI was the same.... the next lot of 3 were 44gr of 2209 with 87gr v-max pills.....well big pressure signs with 1 primer being removed from the case and the ejection pin on the bolt face was now deep inside the bolt    ( after getting home i puled the ejector pin out of the bolt to find a squashed bent spring and a nice bur on the ejector pin sorted it all and its all back together and working good thank f$%*) then went back to the 43gr rounds and zeroed it in got good grouping for me, my mate Kevin had a go he got a little better grouping than i did but pretty much the same POI so i am happy with that i guess you would say 1.5 inch grouping, there was a bee hive near where we were shooting and the didn't like the noise or something i got taged once on the finger and another tried my eye and one got Kevin on the throat.... all en all very happy with the resolts its on song now so i will stick with the 43gr loads. Cheers  PICTURS TO COME LATER......

I have a 3x9 on the .223, i wouldnt mind the 4-12x for it, would make shooting targets at longer distances easier.

I still havent really sighted the .223 in that well, havent really had that much of a chance to use it.

OK guys I have read this hoping for abit of advice, but didnt find any
Im doing my gun licence next week, and as such will be looking to get a couple of rifles, 1 to start with.

I looking at more than likely a .223 and a scope to start with to get a few rabbits and foxs, then something bigger to get pigs. What advice do you guys have?
