Hi All

I have been having a look through the site and think that there is something that is missing.

I have been converted to using a camp oven by some good friends several years ago.

I thought that we should have a thread dedicated to cooking styles and equipment so I will start it here.

I am a big fan of having a roast in the camp oven, it always works but haven't been game to get that experimental yet.

What are peoples preferences? How far do you take the camp cooking theme? What do you use?

(Myself, I have a Hillbilly camp oven)

Sorry if I am in the wrong spot,  haven't quite got my head around all the threads and directories yet.

It is probabbly best to delete this thread then.

i thought it would take practice too.......

but on my first attempt....i had a perfect roast pork and vegies......
and i understood how it works.......and how to control the heat in it.......

ive done a few roasts in it......and only burnt the last one.......due to doing something else and ignoring the food......

I gave mine a crack at Mt Airlie a few weeks back and Cottoneye will confirm it was spot on, i was pleased for my first attempt. Chicken was perfect and so were the vegies.
