any way been doing  little bits here & there on the project
I got off my ass & started chopping the Vit(first time using an angle grinder)

 spudnikwaving
well not a lot has happened Embarrassed
mainly been saving $$

pick up a bonnet off an '86 lux some time next week Cheesy
& when central coast 4x4 wreckers reopen after Chrissy I'll go down & pick up one of the many rolling LWB GQ chassis's they have in stock & put the cut down Vit body onto it & then it'll start to look as though the project is getting somewhere  Grin

well went & picked up the bonnet 2day
I wasn't expecting it to be 100% as it was priced @ $30.00
& to my surprise well it's in almost perfect condition so it was a bargain Evil

waiting until I get the chassis so I can work out exactly where I'm gonna cut
no point in cutting 1st to discover I've chopped off too much

but on a good note I may be picking up a complete LWB GQ rolling chassis in the next few weeks all that will be missing is the engine, gear box & transfer case
the guy has said $800 so I've offered $700 7 just waiting to hear back fingers crossed Grin

picked up some more lux parts for my crawler for the nice sum of $200.00

front axle/diff housing(minus axles) & a front lux 4.3 diff center

I'm thinking of picking up another front housing & 4.3 center, installing ARB lockers
& running F&R hydro steer

so list of things

Vit body(heavily chopped)
front lux diffs 4.3's with ARB lockers F&R
F&R hydro steer
chassis still ain't found anything(might go full tube or custom square RHS)
V6 commy engine
T400 or T700 auto box
gear driven lux T/fercase with 120% reduction gears
comp bucket seats
F&R dig
suspension:
A frame rear
triangulated 4 link front
18" travel coilovers F&R
